Acoustic Single Glazed Partitions

Glass Walls and Doors’ acoustic single glazed partitioning benefits from the use of 12.8mm laminated acoustic glass. This is fitted into our ultra slim aluminium perimeter channel and uses our translucent joint posts, for our signature ‘frameless’ appearance.

SOPHISTICATED SOUND PERFORMANCE

Acoustic single glazed partitioning is the perfect solution for glass walls that need to provide an improvement in sound privacy but at minimal extra cost. We retain the minimalist looks of our single glazed glass wall, with an upgrade on the glass to achieve the additional acoustic performance required. The result is a highly competitive price for a stunning floor to ceiling glass wall, with good sound reduction qualities. Acoustic performance of up to 39db (Rw) is achieved, delivering the peace and quiet you desire.

Acoustic Double Glazed Partitions

Acoustic double glazed partitioning is the ultimate system for sound privacy at competitive prices.

With acoustic performance of up to 48dB (Rw), our top of the range double glazed glass wall is perfect for environments where sound reduction is paramount, whether for confidentiality and security, or simply for calm and tranquility when other people are working in adjacent spaces.

Glazed with either 10mm toughened and 12.8mm laminated acoustic glass (up to 2700mm high) or 12mm toughened and 12.8mm laminated acoustic glass (over 2700mm high), our high performance glass wall looks as good as it performs.

Available in single or double glazed, our highly popular industrial design glass wall partition system looks fantastic in offices, domestic spaces, restaurants and leisure environments. The single glazed option will let you create elegant private rooms within any space, letting natural light flood into the area whilst giving a nod towards the industrial era with face applied aluminium powder coated transom and mullion bars on both skins of the fixed glass and glass door The double glazed option will offer the same functions as above whilst still giving a nod towards the industrial era with face applied aluminium powder coated transom and mullion bars on both skins of the exterior fixed glass and glass door. Within this system we can offer a fully framed 44mm single glazed or flush double glazed door with the same industrial design face applied transoms and mullions as well as RAL colour coded ironmongery and fittings to give you any look you require

Instead of shaping the profile and bending the glass, we join together standard components into multiple faceted straight sections that appears to curve, without the higher price tag of the real thing. The result is stunning and creates an attractive, curving angular feature in its own right. Sometimes a curved glass partition wall would be the perfect finish to your office or environment. But making glass curved is more expensive and may take the job beyond your available budget. There is now a solution that can give you the illusion of a sweeping, gracefully curved wall at a fraction of the cost: Faceted Glass Partitioning.

Performance classification of fire ratings is detailed in the the European standard EN357 and consists of two main elements: Fire Integrity – provides a physical barrier to restrict the progress of fire, hot toxic gasses and smoke from one side of the partition to the other. Fire Insulation – limiting the transfer of heat from one side of the partition to the other, which could otherwise cause ignition of materials on the non-fire side. Fire safety is a top priority for any workplace or building that is used by the public. Stringent building regulations are in place to ensure the safety of employees, visitors and members of the general public. If a fire should occur, the building fabric should offer the necessary protection (fire rating) to allow people sufficient time to safety exit the building. Whether a specific wall should be fire rated – i.e. resist the progress of fire or heat – or not, is a Building Regulations issue. Your local Building Control Officer will be able to advise what the legal requirements are and the level of performance required. Glass Walls and Doors cannot provide advice on this, but we can provide a solution for fire rated screens once you know what you need.
